Golly, gee, fellas

Don’t ask me where I got this from, its one of the nice add-ons from wordpress.  Supposedly from one of the great jazz songs.

Anyway, just wanted to blog about an incident which happened 2 weeks ago.  I was having breakfast with Soukai and LianYL when this happened.  While Soukai and LianYL went to buy their food, I was sitting at the table looking after their stuff.  Out of nowhere, these two semi-drunk fellas appeared at the table and just sat down, smiling/smirking at me.  I said hi, I’m sorry but there are people sitting here already.  One of the guys (with a tattoo on his forehead) replied so incoherently in English that for a while I thought he was speaking in Inglish.  In any case, the long and short of it was, they just liked this table and wanted me to move to another table.

Just then Soukai came back, and I told him the situation.  While I had a very strong temptation to just pull chairs over and sit there with them, I decided to move to another table instead.  Shortly after we moved, those two fellas left, staggering away.  Seriously speaking, if they were older than me, I’d be surprised.

All I can say to this memory is: wow.  In any case, breakfast proved to be very sucky too, food-wise.

What’s with the spam?

Erm, my monitor died, and my laptop died on me. Within this period where I could not access the Internet, I received 31 spam emails, more than what I received the whole of last year.

I need Akismet protection! I need the wordpress.com API key!

Site revamp!

Personalising one’s blog never seemed so easy, honestly.  I remember 2-3 years ago, when I edited the contents for the blog hosted on blogspot, I had to delve right into the hmtl and slowly figure things out.

Anyway, I’m still trying to find out more about the various features of these new plugins I installed, so expect more changes to a minimalist layout.

On a separate note, I finally managed to clear the last mission for Warcraft III without replaying.  Yeah!

Getting into the Groove

Since I’m entering FASS soon, where I’ll be required to write super long essays about anything and everything, I guess its time to shake off the lethargy and start writing once again.  Starting with this blog of mine.

From the last time I posted an update, let’s just run through what happened:  I quit my job, fixed up a new com, went to Vietnam (Hanoi), received and am acting on a business proposal, and decided not to attend any orientation camps.  This is not including the normal doses of badminton, stayovers, dinners, movies, anime watching and just plain slacking.

In any case, I had started out this hiatus with the main aim of really allowing myself to relax and enjoy the one final window before diving into university life, and then the working (corporate) life.  Looking back, doesn’t seem like I’m really relaxing, especially with me agreeing to be a part of the business plan.  Argh, let’s not talk about that.  Business is business, personal life should be kept separate.

Seriously speaking, that’s all I have to say for now.  I’ll post a something belated on my Vietnam trip later, but meanwhile, I should REALLY continue the stories I stopped writing.
