Grasping at air..

Apparently my previous post on taiyou no uta was a search result on google not too long ago.  Well, out of curiosity, I went to take a peep, but well, turned out to be erm… false (hope).

Anyway, just a week after I came up with a new set of outlook towards life, I seem to be faltering, and retreating into the hole I dug for myself once more.  Some of my closer friends might be able to understand what I’m trying to say, with my actions, or rather, inaction thus far.

Seems that the harder I try (to grasp), the lesser I get (in my hands).

Actually this post is quite nonsensical, because I don’t really have much to say.  I’m waiting for alot of things actually:

a) Taiyou no Uta movie version

b) confirmation whether anyone can buy the Taiyou no Uta OST for me

c) My leave next Friday to be approved.  My cousin is getting married.  Congratulations!  Still remembered when I was in sec 1 (and much more/less ignorant than I am now), I caught him looking at girls, and teased him about it.  I believe he was either in NS then, or awaiting entry into uni.  He retorted with “Yeah, time for me to start getting one.”  Well, he struck gold with his first.  :)   Lucky ass.

d) For the mooncakes to come.  So that I can eat them, and invite that darned Ben to come over and sip that sake he bought the other day.

e) Referencing point c), I’m also keeping an open eye, and hoping the right girl will pass me by.  Someone with the character of Kaoru Amane would be nice.

Anyhow, I guess I’ll try to work harder at keeping to my resolutions.  Hopefully next week I’ll be typing out something nicer…. and also the Taiyou no Uta review.

AHM

No, I did not run at AHM.  I was supposed to help out at AHM, but since I was supposed to report to Suntec by like 0415hrs, I decided to carry out another marathon with Mr. Lolicontrol: LAN.  We were joined by Bernard, Nic Woo, Shane, Chun Hui.  Quite a fun experience, after all, its not very often where one can do such crazy stuff.  Well, not for much longer.  AHM was as usual, like most marathons.  Quite sad that the invited runners were running so far ahead compared to our own SAF runners.  Oh well, we were supposed to be “cheerleaders” for GS staff, to which I went -.-”.  was delegated as the cheerleading I/C, because I was the only person who bothered to give suggestions for cheering.  Usual RI GEP fuckers were there, and in the end most of shouting and encouragement was done by us 5.

Not much else to blog about my life, its mostly been dota, work, dota, work.  Wonder if its ORD syndrome or something.  Maybe I am missing someone too.  I need to post a REAL article soon, but everytime I get on the com I start to dota.  Need to kick that habit. Shucks.

An Ode to 1Obn

First, a response to Mr Lian YL, who has the impression that I sulked through his birthday at Diamond Dust.  Mr Lian, I was very tired that day.  I had less than 4 hours of sleep, and spent the whole morning rushing around.  In the first place, I wanted to go to Diamond Dust to sleep, so it was sort of calculated.  Secondly, I didn’t know it was your birthday bash.  Same goes for LCH.  Thirdly, I can’t sing Jap songs for nuts (for dollars).

Moving on, I wanted to post something commemorating the history of 1Obn; its creation from just a gathering of 3 people watching anime together at my house overnight… Its expansion over to the MINDEF forums, where new relationships were forged, and new members recruited, and how every member migrated over to the Intranet spamlist etc. etc.  Some may have ORD-ed, some have grown silent, but nevertheless, they’re 1Obn members.  From the big organisation of 1Obn, several spinoffs came about; the doujin circle, the dota clanners etc..  Seems that 1Obn is quite a behemoth now.  We’ve stopped recruiting members into 1Obn itself (membership in the sub-groups does NOT guarantee you status as a 1Obn member, neither does being included in our spamlist).

Yeah, a short history of 1Obn, in 1 paragraph.  In any case, members include (without putting actual names): MilfeulleLove (Hd Doujin Circle), TsukamotoYakumo (1Obn Clan Chieftain on Bnet), Mr Manly-Riuva (popular blogging icon in the anime/manga world), the sometimes infamous T_T||| (now a proud owner of sauce-dan.com), SouKai (Hd CS, 1Obn), HalcyonDF (proud owner of www.animenewsi.com), Jonnz (who is still walking, from my understanding), zerog (who always OTs, for some reason) Sayatsugu (the anime/manga crazy guy who surprisingly cannot speak Japanese), and others…….  I think a tad too many to list here.

Of course, as an organisation grows, the relationships get more complex.  Misunderstandings occur, arguments break out.  *shrugs*  These can easily be settled.  1Obn:Above all others, and above all members.  Of course, another way would be to be more stringent when admitting new members, but hey it’s a democratic organisation!

Lastly, before I finish up, hopefully, I can blog about 1Obn going strong again next year.

Nothing to Lose

There are times when you make me laugh
there are moments when you drive me mad
there are seconds when I see the light
though many times you made me cry

There’s something you don’t understand
I want to be your man

There are times when I believe in you
these moments when I feel close to you
there are times I think that I am yours
though many times I feel unsure

There’s something you don’t understand
I want to be your man

Nothing to lose
your love to win
hoping so bad that you’ll let me in
I’m at your feet
waiting for you
I’ve got time and nothing to lose

I’ll always be around you
keep an eye on you
cos my patience is strong
and I won’t let you run
cos you are the only one for me

-Nothing to Lose
